A piston compressor draws air into a cylinder and compresses it with a reciprocating piston. It is the right choice where air is needed in bursts rather than continuously — a body shop, a tyre bay, a maintenance workshop, a site compressor away from a power supply.
We supply electric motor driven machines receiver mounted, base mounted or silenced, and petrol driven machines where there is no mains power. We also hold a wide range of spares and can service piston machines of any make.

Duty cycle is the thing to get right
Piston machines are rated for a duty cycle — a proportion of each hour they can run. Most piston compressors that fail early were asked to do a screw compressor's job. If your air demand has grown, tell us what you are running and we will say honestly whether you have outgrown the machine.
