A refrigeration dryer chills compressed air so that the water vapour it carries condenses out, then drains it away before it goes to line. For the large majority of industrial applications this is the right answer: it holds a stable pressure dewpoint around +3°C, needs no consumable media, and costs very little to run.
We supply Pneumatech and Hi-line dryers. Pneumatech's range lets you choose deliberately between purchase cost and lifecycle cost rather than having that decision made for you, and Hi-line's Tundra range is their most energy-efficient, built to reduce running costs by minimising pressure drop and lowering absorbed power.

Constant dewpoint
Direct expansion technology holds a constant +3°C dewpoint at all times, unlike chilled mass dryers which can drift as high as +10°C during their thermal cycle.
Low pressure drop
Pressure drop across the dryer is energy you have already paid to generate. An efficient heat exchanger and correctly sized dryer keep that loss small.
Sized to real flow
Dryer capacity is quoted at reference conditions. Inlet temperature, ambient and working pressure all change what you actually get, so we size on your conditions, not the headline figure.
Pre and after filtration
A dryer is one stage of a chain. Supplied with the pre and after filters it needs, rather than as an isolated box.

When refrigeration is not enough
If your air runs through unheated outdoor pipework, feeds instrumentation, or touches food or pharmaceutical product, +3°C may not be low enough and a desiccant dryer is the right machine. We would rather tell you that up front than sell you the cheaper box twice.
