A desiccant dryer passes compressed air over an adsorbent media that strips water vapour out of it, then regenerates that media so the process can run continuously. It reaches dewpoints far below anything a refrigeration dryer can achieve, which is what makes it the right machine for instrument air, for pipework exposed to frost, and for processes where product contact makes moisture unacceptable.
